Definition of legal representative under UPZA and LR Act

It has the same meaning as defined under  section 2(11) of the Code of Civil Procedure 1908.
The above definition have the classes of person –
 
1. The person who in law represents the estate of the deceased person i.e. legal heirs.
2. The person who intermiddles with the said estate.
3. And where suit is in representative character then the legal heir of that person.
 
In the case of  Andhra Bank v. Srinivas 1962, SC
 
The court held that legal representative means a person who in law represents the estate of the person, even a legatee who obtains under a will only a part, can also be called as legal representative.
